On-the-Job Training

Hiring workers who don't have experience with their new jobs? Would you like the Mississippi Department of Employment Security to pay up to half their wages while they train?

Whether you're a mom-and-pop operation or an international corporation, we have two On-the-Job Training programs, and one may be your perfect solution.

A special On-the-Job Training program is funded by a National Emergency Grant and is specifically for new workers who have been unemployed at least 19 weeks.

Our regular On-the-Job Training program allows you to choose any new workers.

To qualify for these programs, an employer must:
  • Offer a full time job.
  • Have an Internal Revenue Service Identification number.
  • Have an active workers' compensation policy.
  • Keep accurate employee records.
