MERIDIAN MS… The city of Meridian has come together to bring, yet another countywide job fair to the Meridian area. As with past job fairs, there has always been some on-the-spot hiring.

The job fair is free to the public and will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5 at the Tommy E. Dulaney Center, 915 Highway 19 North, Meridian MS. Doors open at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All employers must have job openings to attend the job fair. Job opportunities are available in many different fields.

Some important tips for job candidates are: dress for success, bring plenty of resumes, be prepared for on-site interviews, come with a positive attitude, and plan for child care before attending the job fair.

Percy Bland, Mayor of Meridian stated, “This job fair is a collaborative effort to create more job opportunities for citizens of Meridian and beyond.” Partners include Meridian Community College, Mississippi Department of Employment Security, and the Mayor’s office.

Because of the great turn out last year, additional parking will be available at Meridian Community College with trolley assistance available.
