Updates to Online Unemployment (UI) Services
A new online unemployment insurance system will be available Thursday, November 6, 2025. Applicants will see changes throughout the system. MDES is updating the online unemployment services to improve the process, whether this is your first time applying or you are a returning user.
These changes are designed to guide you through the process. Weekly task reminders and payment details will be provided to help keep you informed and up to date.
What You Need to Know:
- The current system will be turned off Wednesday night, November 5, 2025
- The new system will be available starting Thursday, November 6, 2025
- Existing User IDs and Passwords will not change
- The 2FileUI mobile application will no longer be available
The new system will provide:
- A better look and feel
- Simplified navigation and user experience
- Faster and easier way to apply for Unemployment Insurance benefits
- Access from cell phone, desktop, laptop, and tablet, including iPad
